Kits contain hands-on objects, photographs, activities, labels, instructions, and historical materials. The kits can be used by any grade level with the level of study and complexity of content determined by the teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kits are available for a $25 non-refundable rental fee per week (Becoming Human is $40 per week) payable by cash, check, or credit card. School delivery within Forsyth County is available for an additional fee. To reserve a kit, please contact the Museum at 336.758.5282 or <a href=\"mailto:lammuseum@wfu.edu\">lammuseum@wfu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">African Music <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This kit includes an assortment of African instruments for students to examine and play. Included is an information packet with photographs and suggested activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Animals in African Art <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This kit has hands-on two and three-dimensional African art with animal themes and examines African approaches to art. Objects, labels with stories and proverbs, picture cards, and teacher\u2019s guide are included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">D\u00eda de los Muertos\/Day of the Dead <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not Mexican Halloween. Celebrating the dead is a tradition with a long history in parts of Mexico and Central America. The kit includes images, artifacts, activities, and stories that can be used to teach students the true meaning of the celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Chinese New Year <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In China, the most important holiday is the New Year also called Lunar New Year or Spring Festival. This kit includes images, artifacts, activities, and stories that can be used to teach students about traditional decorations, foods, and customs, including why Chinese New Year is on a different date than the American calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Kodomo No Hi\/Japanese Children\u2019s Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Japanese Children\u2019s Day is a special holiday just for children. This kit includes images, artifacts, activities, and stories that can be used to introduce students to the purpose, foods, kites, and dolls used to celebrate Japanese children on this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Fun and Games <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This kit provides an assortment of Native American games ready to play. Kit includes instructions and historical background materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">North Carolina Archaeology <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Archaeology helps shape our understanding of cultures and civilizations. But how is the work done? How are artifacts used as evidence? This kit contains an array of authentic Yadkin River Valley Native American artifacts with information panels about archaeology and discoveries into the lives of the first Carolinians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Human Evolution <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The evolution and global migration of humans has been a source of debate for centuries. This kit includes images, games, artifacts, and reproduction skulls to help students explore how humans evolved and began to develop modern behaviors and cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity divider is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-mimic-h-5-font-size\">Religion <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Religious beliefs, faith, and rituals are a driving force for people&nbsp;around the world.
